Solar

Solar energy is normally harnessed in two ways, Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) for domestic use.

Thermal
Thermal Solar panels use evacuated tubes to heat water which is passed through the hot water cylinder. This type of installation is the more complex and is normally carried out in conjunction with upgrades to the central heating system.

Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
PV systems use the suns energy to generate electricity that is used in your home to power appliances or your heat system if suitable. PV panels generally produce a reduction in your annual electricity costs of in the order of €200/300 depending on the size of the system and existing energy usage.

Century Retrofit will help with selecting and sizing the system to suit your needs.
